Public transportation

Prague has one of the best public transportation systems in Europe. The subway, trams and buses are used by two-thirds of Prague's population and cover the majority of the city and outskirts. If you can't continue to your destination on foot, you'll be able to catch a tram or bus from near the subway station.
The Prague public transport mobile app can be download at www.pid.cz/en/mobile-app.

How to get from Prague airport to the conference venue

By public transport

Take bus number 119 from the airport to its final stop "Nádraží Veleslavín", then take metro line A to "Dejvická" station (two stops). The conference venue is situated 250 meters from the metro exit (towards "Bus station") – see the map.

The journey takes about twenty-eight minutes and you can use a 30 CZK ticket (this ticket is valid for thirty minutes after validating it on the bus) or a 40 CZK ticket (valid for ninety minutes).

You can find information or buy tickets at public transport info centers at the airport.

The info centers are located in the arrival halls of both terminals and are open daily from 7:00 to 21:00. They offer, free of charge, all the relevant information on the operation of public transport in Prague, its routes, timetables and fares. In addition to information they offer in particular:

  • single-trip and short-term tickets valid for twenty-four hours or for one day (a ticket costs 120 CZK/approximately 5 EUR) or three days (a ticket costs 330 CZK/approximately 13 EUR)
  • timetables for trams and buses (from any stop)
  • a map of Prague with its public transport network

By taxi

Taxi is much more expensive than public transport and it is only a little faster. It is reasonable to use taxis only for night arrivals/departures, when bus line 119 does not operate.

Only official airport taxis are allowed to operate at the airport. You can find taxis in front of the arrival halls of both terminals. The fare from the airport to the conference venue/offered hotels could be expected to be around 400 CZK (a higher fare is possible depending on the current traffic situation).

How to get from the main railway station to the conference venue

We recommend using public transportation instead of taxis: it is cheaper and usually faster due to heavy traffic. The main railway station "Hlavní Nádraží" as well as the conference venue are situated close to metro stations.

From the railway station "Hlavní Nádraží" take metro line C (red line) to "Muzeum" station. There change to line A (green line) and continue to "Dejvická" station.

The conference venue is situated 250 meters from the metro exit (towards "Bus station") – see the map.

The journey takes about fifteen minutes and you can use a 30 CZK ticket (this ticket is valid for thirty minutes after validating it on the bus) or a 40 CZK ticket (valid for ninety minutes).
